[[Carson City]], the historic capital of the Silver State, is expecting a birthday soon. In 2008, Carson City will celebrate its Sesquicentennial or 150th birthday. 

We are currently forming a core group to brainstorm ideas for events throughout 2008 to commemorate this great occasion. 

Museums and Libraries,
Schools,
Government,
Fraternal and Service groups,
Chamber of Commerce,
Tourism Bureaus,
Casinos and other businesses,
Re-enactors,
Arts and Music organizations,
Ethnic and Religious groups,
Nevada Day Committee,
Western Nevada Community College,
Legislators,
History buffs,
and anyone else with ideas for the 150th are encouraged to participate either by contributing ideas, joining the committee, or "branding" their event as part of the CC150 Celebrations.
