Washoe Valley

From Carsonpedia

The Washoe Valley is a large valley in western Nevada, located just north of the Eagle Valley, and west of the Comstock. The valley is mostly rural and sparsely settled, with the major settlements being New Washoe City, Washoe City, and Franktown. Much of the center of the valley is taken up by Washoe Lake, and the west side of the valley is mostly agricultural and ranch land. The valley is home to US Hwy 395, the major north-south thoroughfare between Carson City and Reno, and construction is underway at the north end on the I-580 Freeway, which will replace parts of 395.
