Telegraph Square is the name given to the intersection of Curry and Telegraph Streets in downtown Carson City. In 1999 the city put up planters and colored concrete crosswalks at this intersection in an attempt to beautify the neighborhood. A plaque reading "Telegraph Square - 1999" is mounted on each of the four planters.
Telegraph Square is home to several downtown events, such as the Saturday Pop-Up Park and Rockin' the Square. Cherokee Scents candle shop is right at the corner, and Mo & Sluggo's, B'Sghetti's, Old Globe Saloon, Kim Lee's Sushi, The Basil, Garibaldi's, the Horseshoe Club, Cactus Jack's, and the Carson Nugget are all just a block or two away.
