The Carson and Tahoe Lumber and Fluming Company was the company responsible for most of the logging at Lake Tahoe during the late 1800s. It was founded by Duane L. Bliss. They had lumber mills at Glenbrook and Tahoe City, and operated two railroads: the Lake Tahoe Railroad and Lake Tahoe Railway and Transportation Co
